Common questions

Which devices does Just Flags work on?

Just Flags is made for iPad and needs iPadOS 17 or later. It isn't available for iPhone or Mac at the moment.

I can't hear the country names

Turn the volume up with the buttons on the side of the iPad, and check it isn't connected to Bluetooth headphones or a speaker you've forgotten about. Names play even when the iPad is set to silent. If you still can't hear anything, try closing Just Flags and opening it again.

Why doesn't it turn upright when I rotate the iPad?

Just Flags is designed for landscape, so it stays sideways to give the flags as much room as possible. It will flip if you turn the iPad upside down.

Does it need the internet?

No. Every flag and every spoken name is built into the app, so it works anywhere, including on a plane.

Which flags are included?

All 193 UN member states, plus Vatican City, Palestine, England, Scotland and Wales, giving 198 flags in alphabetical order.

Why is there no X in the A–Z bar?

There's an X button, but no country name starts with X, so it's faded out.

A name is pronounced wrongly

Please email us with the country and how it should sound, and we'll fix it in a future update.

Yes. There are no ads, no purchases, no accounts, no links out of the app and no data collected. See the privacy policy for details.
